We love seeing the East Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau reviews you leave us. We focus on making sure that we can help as many people in the area as we can. From debt advice to power of attorney; employment advice to health and wellbeing, we cover a huge range of topics. Knowing how we are doing is important.
It’s vital that we make sure our services match the needs of our community. By telling us what we are doing right, and in what ways we can do better, we can constantly grow and improve our services to you. We pay attention to reviews – they don’t get sucked into a black hole never to be seen again! Here are some that have caught our attention this year.
Google Reviews
Most of our online reviews come through on Google Reviews. This is a publicly viewable website where anybody can leave a review. At time of writing (December 2019) we score 4.3 / 5, which is excellent.
Reviews that made us smile include this one:

It’s great to hear that we are having a positive effect on the people of East Dunbartonshire. Our volunteers give up their own time to help others where they can, and feedback like this really helps motivates us.
Where could we be better?
Of course, there’s always room for improvement, and if you don’t tell us, we won’t know. We’ve had feedback this year that sometimes waiting times can be a bit long. We absolutely want to keep that to a minimum.
When you first pop in to see us, if we can help you quickly then and there, we will. However most problems brought to us require and deserve longer than a quick chat, and we’d rather sit down with you. It may even be the person offering the specialist advice you need to talk to isn’t in the office. This is why you will usually be given an appointment to come back another time when someone will be expecting you, and able to talk through your issue.
Citizens Advice appointments can also be made over the phone and even online. By doing so, you can be sure that you won’t be kept waiting and can make preparations for childcare in advance (although children are very welcome to join us!).
