Your Legal and Civil Rights
As a citizen of Scotland, the UK and indeed the world, you have certain basic rights. For example, the right to life, freedom and equality, safety and privacy. These rights are protected by the courts. So, if you feel you are being treated unjustly, we can point you towards the right legal assistance.
The Legal System
The Scottish and UK legal and court systems are complex, and you may need some help to understand them. We are on hand explain how it all works and what kind of legal help is available to you. We can give information on finding a legal adviser, talk about legal costs and legal aid, and show you where to find further free or low-cost advice.
